At the main entrance to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Preserve lies Medicine Park, OK, a unique cobblestone community founded in 1908. Coined as the “Jewel of the Southwest,” the Wichita Mountains provide a scenic backdrop to this peaceful oasis. There are fifteen lakes in and around this small town, which make it a very paintable destination! Also, Medicine Park has a colorful history, known as a playground for various criminals, politicians, celebrities and soldiers. 
The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Preserve is over 60,000 acres of mixed grass prairie, ancient granite mountains, lakes and streams, with roaming herds of Longhorn, Bison, and Rocky Mountain elk. Come for two days, three or make it a week and you will never cover all the beauty here! Join us for this exciting weekend.
