Plein-Air-on-the-Square (1)
Created on: November 12, 2017
A one day event in Snyder, Texas. I spent a fruitful day there in November 2017, meeting the neighbors and painting their doomed train depot. I had planned to attend again in 2018, but then I couldn't because I had a conflict. And in 2019, the art space on the square had been closed and this event is no more. Sad, because Snyder is an imminently paintable place. The museum associated with the college there did not want this painting when I inquired, but, good news, this piece has found a home with a woman who remembers riding the trains to Snyder and walking through the depot in her youth.
