Paint Out in Shiner, Texas
Shiner is best known as the “home of Shiner Beer” and it is also billed as "The Cleanest Little City in Texas". The Spoetzl Brewery, The Kasper Wire Works, Old Town Shiner, Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, and the 1895 Opera House are a few of the historical landmarks in Shiner. Welhausen Park in downtown Shiner features historic gazebo and various monuments.
A little piece of the tropics lies just 30 minutes west of Shiner. With multiple sources of water (including the San Marcos River), Palmetto State Park is a haven for a wide variety of animals and plants. Look for dwarf palmettos, the park’s namesake, growing under the trees and lots of other tropical plants not seen anywhere else in the state. Palmetto State Park is also a haven for birdwatchers.
If you happen to love rail roads, just 20 minutes north of Shiner is the town of Flatonia, a rich agricultural area, on one of this state's earliest railroads. You’ll find tracks, the original switch house and many historical structures such as the Old Post Office, the Lyric Theater and the old freight depot.
Come and join us for a weekend of paint out fun! Upon registration you will be sent a preliminary itinerary. A Final Itinerary will be sent to you a few days before the event begins, so please check you Email for updates.
All the best,
