Participate in this workshop excursion to San Miguel de Allende

It is a week-long excursion at the UNESCO World Heritage site of San Miguel de Allende in the heart of Mexico. This colonial jewel is located at 6,200 feet and the weather during August is mild, 50 in the early mornings to 80 in the afternoon. It was voted by readers of Travel and Leisure as the World's best city in 2017 — beating out major travel destinations like Florence and Capetown. Conde'Nast includes it in the top twenty every year. The accolades continue to pour in year after year for this romantic and historically beautiful city. It is a painter's delight with charming streets, stunning architecture, and vibrant color.
This is also an excursion. We will learn, paint and enjoy the sights, sounds and beauty of this enchanting place.

Price includes the workshop fee, accomodations at the lovely, internationally known luxury bed and breakfast, Casa Calderoni, transportation from / to the airport and hotel, daily breakfast, two dinners and other amenities. It does not include your air fare (to one of the two closest airports, Leon or Queretaro) travel insurance and some meals.
The price is $2300. A deposit of $400 is required to secure your spot, the remainder will be due no later than 60 days before departing. A spouse, friend or partner, who shares is welcome. There will be an additional fee of $600. to cover their airport transfers, dinners, transport to painting spots and other amenities. If two workshop participants want to share a room, I can make an adjustment.

The 5 days of workshop is designed to encourage artists at all levels to attain greater mastery by learning to simplify and keep their work fresh. Fran will review the basics of solid composition while sharing her own ideas for simplifying the complex. You will receive personalized instruction at your easel.
