Artist's Statement
|
"My infatuation with
painting and creative expression is a strong part of my life and
existence. The passion for creating is fueled by an awareness
of our surroundings in our everyday lives as we observe the
beauty around us. I paint primarily from life, studio setups or
traveling to catch the next sunset or light filled morning or
late afternoon, whether painting small studies of exciting color
notes or my most recent passion of larger works created out of
doors in plein air. I know that I must work quickly, bigger
brushes, large sweeping strokes in a race against the elements
and ever changing light and shadow. Each outing brings a new
awareness of the beauty of nature and the world around us.
My
goal as an artist is to share my enthusiastic approach to life
and the beauty of the world around us with all who view my
work."” |
