My life revolves
around the painting process, —not only the application of paint,
but also all of the other extraneous pursuits such as teaching
classes, framing, dealing with the galleries, and putting
together art shows for the public. It becomes an
all-encompassing passion, the process of creative endeavors that
both enhance and dominate my lifestyle. I do not live to paint,
rather I paint to live.
Thirty years
ago my mindset became a focus to thoroughly understand, breathe,
smell and taste the landscape. A long painting endeavor began: it
continues each day with new intensities, new subtleties, new
messages and new creations taking place.
In the meantime I have
come to understand the magnificent application of paint to a
surface, and even more so have learned to enjoy the trip rather than
the product.
I wish to touch my viewer
with some of the beauty that surrounds us to let others understand
some of my vision.
