Artist's Statement

For Ann, the joy of painting is in the process (journey) and not the destination.  Growth in life and art is the most exciting thing.  She believes you must be willing to risk and be at home in your own skin.

She is fun and eccentric.  She paints in a 12 by 12 tree house.  She has traveled to the Grenadine Islands, Guatemala, Scotland, England, Bali, Italy, Mexico, France, Greece, Belize and Alaska.  But most precarious of all, she decided to earn her livelihood as an artist.

Ann is an accomplished artist, winning numerous prestigious awards.  She has had three paintings accepted to Art for the Parks and has received the merit award at the Salmagundi Club as well as many other awards.

Ann Hardy has been published in Splash 6 and Splash 8, International Watercolor, Watercolor Magic, American Artist and International Artist magazines.  She wrote an article for "How did you Paint That?100 Ways to Paint Flowers and Gardens".  She has an upcoming article for American Artist.
