OPS’s annual spring
plein air painting event and gallery show will be held in
Dallas, Texas and exhibited at the Southwest Gallery.
The exhibition and
sale of paintings opens to the public Saturday April 21,
2007 and will hang at the gallery through May 19,
2007.
Located in north central Texas, the Dallas area affords a
rich diversity of urban and rural landscape painting
opportunities. Working with sponsors and supporters, the
Outdoor Painters Society has developed Plein Air Texas into the
premier outdoor painting event in the south central United
States.
Held
in the spring this annual event includes three weeks of outdoor painting within the great state
of Texas. It culminates with a week of outdoor
painting events in the Dallas and north Texas area which
includes a quick draw painting
competition, reception and a month long gallery exhibition.
Monetary and merchandise Awards from our generous sponsors
will be announced at the show.
Collectors are invited to attend any of the planned painting
locations to watch the artists at work.
We hope to see you there!
