          Member News:  The following are a few notices  from recent newletters that are                  sent  to OPS members:

John Cook  is having a one-man show at the Southwest Gallery in Dallas. The opening reception is Saturday, May 17, from 1-5 pm and the show hangs throughout the month of June.

Rusty Jones , Bob Rohm and Quiang Huang:  Three person show opens at Riverbend Gallery April 30.  They each will demonstrate at the gallery during the day.  Artists' reception is from 6 to 8.

Dina Gregory took Best of Show at the Waxahachie Plein Air Paint Out, a ten-day event with 39 artists participating. Dina was juried into the American Academy of Women Artists and had two pieces in Art Splash in Graham.

Mary Anne Whittle is having a show of her work through June. It is in The Point Center for Arts & Education located on the campus of the Blanton Gardens/C.C.Young Retirement Center, located on W. Lawther at the Northwest Freeway in Dallas.

 

Ann Hardy was accepted into the Oil Painters of America National Exhibition in Missoula, Montana and asked to do a demonstration. She also has a one-person show at Old Post Office Museum in Graham, Texas and a gallery show at Whistle Pik Galleries in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Roy Murray won the Ethel T. Drought Memorial Award at the 78th Annual San Antonio Artists Exhibition at the San Antonio Art League and Museum in the beautiful King William area. The juror was Toby Kemps, Senior Curator, Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston.

Ann Templeton was voted (by the artists) Master Landscape Artist by  Nomades del Arte.

Cecy Turner gave a watercolor demonstration at the Dallas Museum of Art on April 18, celebrating the opening of the Julian Onderdonk Bluebonnets and Beyond exhibition.
