It's not all work
and no play at our outings. Here are Cecy Turner and Bob Rohm relaxing
between paintings. |
|
We also try to eat well at
our get- togethers.. Painters need to keep up their strength, you know.
This is the chow line at an outing in the Texas Hill Country. Of course,
the main dish was barbeque.

Sometimes
we arrange to have a well-known artist put on a demonstration for us.
This is Ralph Oberg at our trip to Colorado in 2003. |
|
On an earlier trip,
William Kalwick, Jr. demonstrated his skills for us. |

In August when it's hot
and February when it's cold, we usually hire a model and set up a still
life to paint indoors. This was in Irving, TX. |
|
This session was at The
Woodlands near Houston. The model was the daughter of a member.

Anything can happen when
you're painting outdoors. Bob Rom had to retrieve his hat after the
wind blew it into a ravine in the Texas Hill Country.

Here are

Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma.

Ron Bausch looks pretty

Our last event of the year
is a Christmas party where, in addition to enjoying good food, good
drink and good fellowship, we have a "blind swap" of small
paintings. Here's the group showing off the additions to their
collections.
